Branding

Show your own name and logo on the cards your customers open. This guide explains each setting and how to check the finished result.

What branding changes

Branding is an Enterprise feature. When you turn on White-label my cards, ShepCard replaces its footer badge with your brand name and optional logo. Your brand also appears as the publisher on a shared card preview. You can remove the footer badge altogether if you prefer a clean card.

The change applies to public cards and their shared previews. Your editor, dashboard, and billing pages still use ShepCard. The card's content, address, and QR code remain the same.

If your account is on Free or Pro, open Dashboard → Billing to compare plans. Your saved branding settings return if you renew an Enterprise plan later.

Set up your brand

  1. Open Dashboard → Settings and scroll to Branding.
  2. Turn on White-label my cards. Enter a Brand name, such as Acme Studio. A name is required when white-label branding is on.
  3. Optionally enter your Website as a complete address, for example https://acme.example. Visitors can select your badge to open that site. Leave the field empty if you want plain text.
  4. Select Upload to add a logo. A PNG with a transparent background usually works well. If you leave the logo empty, ShepCard shows initials from your brand name.
  5. Choose a Brand colour with the picker or enter a hex color such as #176b5b. Check the Footer preview below the form.
  6. Select Save branding. Then open a published card to see the saved version.
SettingWhat it does
Brand nameReplaces ShepCard in the footer and appears as the publisher when your card is shared. Maximum 40 characters.
WebsiteMakes the badge a link. Start the address with https:// or http://.
LogoShows your uploaded image. Without one, the badge uses your initials.
Brand colourColors the badge or initials tile. The preview chooses readable text automatically.
Hide the badge entirelyRemoves both the ShepCard badge and your brand badge from the card footer.

Choose what appears in the footer

Use the two switches together to choose the result you want:

  • White-label off: the regular ShepCard badge appears.
  • White-label on, Hide the badge off: your name and logo appear in the footer.
  • White-label on, Hide the badge on: the footer has no badge.

You can turn white-label off without losing the details you entered. If you change the switches, select Save branding again.

Check the result on a real card

  1. Open a published card from Dashboard → Cards.
  2. Scroll to the footer. Compare it with the Footer preview in Settings.
  3. Select Share, copy the link, and send it to yourself. Check the card preview in a messaging app if you use one.
  4. If you use a custom domain, open the card at that address as well. Branding and domain settings work together, but you set them up separately.
Cards shared into a team use the team owner's branding. Ask the owner to check their Branding settings if a shared card shows a different footer.

Tips and common issues

The brand does not appear
Check that your Enterprise plan is active, White-label my cards is on, Brand name is filled in, and you selected Save branding.
The website field will not save
Enter the full address with https:// or http:// at the start.
The logo looks cramped
Use a simple logo with clear space around it. A transparent PNG works well in the small footer badge.
The shared preview still looks old
Open the public card to confirm your saved settings. Messaging apps may keep an earlier link preview for a while.
